Registration Updates
Online pre-registration is now closed. Some tickets for some events remain, to be sold on a first come, first served basis at the registration desk at Argyllshire Gathering Halls starting midday, Monday 16th July, cash only (no cards, no cheques).

MacIntyre Ceilidh Location Change
In order to accommodate more people, the MacIntyre Ceilidh has been moved to the Gathering Halls in Oban, a larger but more expensive venue. Thus, the cost for all folks registering starting today is increased to match the cost the original folks paid for the ceilidh + the shuttle to Taynuilt. The shuttle bus is now canceled. If you are one of the original folks who registered for the Ceilidh, your registration is fine as it stands.
New! Combined Tour: Duncan Ban and Glencoe
Two existing tours, Guided Tour Focused on Duncan Ban MacIntyre by Àdhamh Ó Broin and the Coach Tour to Glencoe, did not have sufficient registrations to fill a bus individually. Instead of cancelling the tours, we have combined them into a single tour offering the highlights of both, led by the inimitable Àdhamh Ó Broin. Luckily for all of us, the tours were on the same day, at the same time, and meeting at the same place, so combining them into a single tour was easy peasy.
If you are already registered for one of the two aforementioned tours, no worries — stay registered in your original tour and we will make sure you get on the Combined Tour bus on the day of the tour.
Perle Hotel
Everyone is of course welcome to find accomodations on their own. However, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Perle Hotel, a luxury hotel in downtown Oban:
- The Perle is offering us a 15% discount on our bookings. Room prices (all prices in GBP) are differentiated by room type; i.e., there will not be a “lottery” for the rooms as previously announced. Instead, you can book whatever room type suits your needs. Room prices after the 15% discount:
- Standard Double Room, no view: £177.65
- Double Room with view: £194.65
- Superior Room: £203.15
- Superior Room with view: £220.15
- Junior Suite: £237.15
- Suites: £254.15
- You can book directly with the hotel. Rooms are now available in their system, but this means that the general public will also be able to book them. Cultural Programs
There will be cultural programs running at the Argyll Gathering Halls throughout the week. See https://register.macintyregathering.com/cultural-programs/ for a tentative discussion of what might be offered. You will not need to register ahead for these programs, since you can pay at the door.
Events
You can read a detailed description of each event by clicking to expand the text. However, please be aware that we might need to change any of these events because we can’t predict what the demand will be – as the Gathering is run by volunteers and on behalf of a charity, we are not looking to make a profit but we can’t afford to make a loss. We will do our very best to provide everything as described but ask for your understanding if something needs to be changed.
Please read the extra info about events
You will need to be logged in to purchase tickets to events. Your account would have been created when you registered. Please locate the email with your username and password and use that information to log in. Also, as you add events to your cart, you will need to refresh the Buy Tickets page each time you return to it if you want the Cart on the right to be updated. Alternately, just click on the Buy Tickets link at the top of the page, rather than just using your browser’s Back button.
Meals
If a meal or food is included in an event, that is noted in the event description; otherwise, assume that you will be on your own for meals.
